The Asmir Begović Foundation hosted their third annual Golf Classic at Burhill Golf Club on Monday 13th May, successfully raising funds and awareness for upcoming projects.
Asmir Begović, was joined by his friends from sporting world, including Jermaine Jenas, Roberto Di Matteo, AP McCoy, Mike Catt, Joel Ward and many others.
The team captained by Peter Dale along with fellow team mates John Shepherd, Tadhg Randall, Andrew Dale came out on top with a winning score of 89 points, with Sky Sport’s football correspondent Geoff Shreeves team coming a very close second.
The day proved a huge success for the Asmir Begovic Foundation ‘I can’t thank everyone enough who came along to play and contribute to our foundation today. This is the third ABF Golf Classic and is an important part of the fundraising platforms for the foundation, I am delighted with all the support we have received and am already looking forward to next year”.

The Asmir Begovic Foundation was founded in 2013 with the goal to build and improve recreational facilities both in England and Bosnia-Herzegovina, encouraging kids to be active and provide them with the opportunity to get involved in sports. Projects the Foundation has supported include the construction of sporting facilities at schools for disabled children in Sarajevo and Tuzla, as well as co-funding the renovation of the multisports complex in Srebrenica.
